The Update About... No Updates

Good evening all. It's always irritated me to no end when authors/artists/bloggers/whoever address their audiences for the sheer purpose of stating they have nothing new to share, but that's essentially what I'm doing right now (you have to love hypocrisy). I apologize for doing so myself, but as it's my custom to try and get some new artwork up every few days or so, and mostly because I have some commissioned works in progress for a few of you, I felt letting people know what was going on was the only polite thing to do.

So yes, I'm afraid I've been quite busy lately... in addition to overtime work at the studio again this week, I was recently told I have to be out of my home by this time next month, as the owner is losing their primary residence and needs to move back into the house I am currently living in. Considering the fact that moving is probably my least-favorite thing in the world (even with plenty of notice), I'm sure you can imagine my delight at this, and needless to say I haven't had much time for fangeekery over the past several days. However, rest assured that whenever I do have any free time I'm working on getting things done, starting with commissioned works first, and with any luck I should have some updates for you all sometime within the next several days.

In the meantime have a drawn in five minutes, stressed-out Rarity doodle (to be colored at some point in the future, when I am able) to hopefully tide you all over until then. Peace, all!

Sorry to hear about that. Just keep your chin up! Things will get better. :)

I'm in a similar situation, just found new work after being out of it for a month or so. Nothing new on my channel forever because I've been busy. We shall persevere!

I know how you feel about updating with nothing to show for it. I feel like I've been doing that too often... :stares at headless plushie by work station: Soon, plushie. Soon.

Good luck with your move! I've had to move twice since last November, including a move from Michigan to Florida, so I know how awful it is.

Oh it's quite alright; I'll be fine once things get sorted out. As I've said before overwork is not anything I can't handle... it's more the stress of knowing I need to be out of here without having any place to go yet that's really weighing on me (and saying nothing of the actually packing and moving process, which I truly despise).

But you're all very kind, thank you. ^_^ The main reason I posted about this was just to let everyone, and those who have commissioned me especially, know what's going on and to assure them their artwork is on the way. Certainly I didn't mean to whine about the situation (or complain too vigorously, for that matter!).

@Pogosama

I actually had noticed a lull on your YouTube channel; I was wondering about the reasoning for that! Well congratulations on your new job in any case, and indeed you're right; persevere we shall!

@Kateasaurus

Oh my, Michigan to Florida you say? I can only imagine how dreadful that must have been... you have my sympathy.

And yes, it's a sad thing when practical life matters get in the way of the things we'd rather be doing! But c'est la vie. I'm sure your new plushie will turn out fabulously whenever you manage to finish it... and thank you for the well-wishes, as well!

@DJB123

I'll be okay once I manage to find a new place to live... hopefully very soon. But thank you, you're very kind. ^_^ And with any luck, sometime very soon I shall have that flapper-inspired Rarity pic I've promised to show for my troubles, haha.

@Favo

I shall indeed... I should be back with some new art updates soon enough, even though they might be a bit fewer and far between than I'd like for a while. But thank you my dear, I appreciate the sentiments!

Aaaaugh, you LOOK SO CUTE! Look at how cute you are as Rarity! You're all 'Oh, sewing glasses, you're the only ones I can rely on.'

I'm sure I'll read all those things you typed as soon as I finish squeeing over the adorable picture of you as Rarity.

In all honesty, I like your "five-minute doodle" better than most MLP fanart I've seen. How do you do that?

Anyway, best wishes on your move; those are never fun at the best of times, and in the middle of the busy season at work must add to the pressure. And I hope you've gotten your sewing machine back by now. Maybe you can start making MLP plushies and start raking in the dough... ;)

And about the drawing I've commissioned: There's no rush on it, just work on it when you have time and feel like doing so. I'd want the picture be the product of an artist enjoying herself, rather than stressing out over a deadline. (Besides, I'd hate to think my request was adding to your stress. I guess that's the Fluttershy in me...)

@Frankensteinbeck

Oh, well even though I hadn't thought of poor stressed-out Rarity as representing me specifically there, I guess that does work out rather nicely (sans the sewing machine, as mine is still in the shop, boo ;_;). Art imitates life as they say, and I actually *do* wear glasses when I'm working, ha (though they are black not red, but yes. They're Coach *ahem*).

And now I can't help but think about how much easier moving would be if only I had telekinetic powers at my disposal, hrm..

@jodyjm13

Hahaha, now I'm hearing Fluttershy's little "..but, you know... whatever you want to do is fine..." as I'm typing this... how cute is that. ^.^

But yes, thank you my friend! I guess you do pose a valid point about art created for pleasure versus meeting a deadline... I've never really thought about it in such simplistic terms before (silly as that is) but you're absolutely right. Again, thank you for that. I'll still try and get your project done in a timely enough manner of course, and I am also glad you like the Rarity sketch... hopefully I'll be able to color her at some point in the near future.

Hopefully you'll like it, anyway!

And thank you very much... you are incredibly kind. ^_^

.. =D How incredibly sweet and thoughtful are you; just the fact that you thought about making me a sketch is such a lovely thing! Thank you so much for the support my friend, I very much appreciate it!
